No promises, no problems

promises1
How's this for a fix for all the bad press and image problems that make it so hard for everyone to do the business...

In response to the post, "I know who's giving us the bad rap" reader Craig Davis suggested we have a new mantra: "Make no promises, makes no problems."

Here's a slightly modified version: No promises. No problems.

If everyone agreed to this new mantra, and made NO MORE promises about either the income or product results, wouldn't that take the fire out of most of what the detractors scream about? Including the FTC's concerns?

Yes, we MUST ALSO insist on a second shift for our business model: start with finding customers for the products - customers who are NOT also selling it. Unless of course we think our products aren't good enough for anyone to buy unless they also sell it.

But we don't believe that, do we?

I love mantras.
No promises. No problems.
Feels good just thinking it, saying it aloud.
And if you dont know HOW to do this, do a really smart and wise thing for yourself and us...
Get Kim Klaver's book, "If My Products's So Great How Come I Can't Sell It?"(or the 3 Script Classes tapes) because we ALL have a product to sell, right?
And work with it.
Do your script with YOUR story. Finish the material. Follow her wisdom through the book and tapes.
See what happens and we can all stay in business.

I couldn't agree more Kim. I can't even imagine making promises to someone about income. I have adopted a great icon (for me, not everyone will like it)to support our "No Promises, No Problems" mantra.
